After Oil School 3: Next is a two-year project designed to better understand the specific social transitions needed to shape energy transitions. Neither speculative future projections, nor merely case studies of existing exercises by individuals, groups, and communities engaged in transitions, the investigations we will undertake will interrogate the uncertain space between the present and the future. AOS3 will bring together critical theory and policy, draw lessons from present practices, imagine modes and methods of transition in relation to the limits and possibilities of political configurations, and more.
